“Human intellect and harmonization of world development”

Fundamental interdisciplinary developmental work on value-targeted and rational purpose- oriented reference points for world development (development of human civilization) and economic basis for achieving them.

Despite the fact that mankind increasingly feels to be a unified whole in the face of global problems, it has no clear-cut global targeted reference points for development and principles to attain them formulated on the highest international level. The world development processes are unfolding in an unorganized and chaotic way. The formation of a unified mankind unaccompanied by adequate changes in individual societies and communities and having no targeted reference points understandable to all is impeded by active reverse processes (movements of “antiglobalists”, emergence of “outlaw” countries, international war conflicts, conflicts within societies, etc.). In these conditions, of great importance is collective (i.e. with the participation of all societies and communities such as nations and nationalities, peoples and religions, states and supra-state formations) determination of value-targeted and rational purpose-oriented reference points for mankind development (human civilization) in the future, their dissemination, search for ways of universal agreement with them, search for an economic basis for their institutionalization.

1. Substantiation of methodology of interdisciplinary planetary studies.

2. Substantiation of the necessity to transit from stability to harmony of world development.

3. Assessment of planetary resources and substantiation of the necessity to introduce a more widely understandable planetary property institution.

4. Assessment of mankind’s intellectual forces and substantiation of the structure of progressive innovations for development harmonization.

5. Assessment of existing and potential sources of world income.

6 .Determination of sources and mechanisms for appropriation of planetary rent.

7. Substantiation of harmonious development of human civilization as its objective and meaning.

8. Substantiation of the necessity to create planetary institutions of accord and peace.

9. Assessment of global risks and forces used to ensure planetary security.

“Planetary problems of the XXI century: forecasts and estimates”

Preparing tools for predictive assessment of planetary problems.

Prospects of a happy life of people in the XXI century have been assessed differently, judging by forecasts given since the second half of the XX century. To compare forecast estimates given by different scientific groups with actual planetary problems that manifest themselves with diverse degree of intensity and exist for varying lengths of time, special tools are needed. Their absence impedes the determination of target reference points for mankind development.

1. More precisely defining the content of the notion “planetary problem”.

2. Selecting grounds and criteria for constructing scales of forecast estimates of planetary problems.

3. Constructing a forecast “planetary problem field” for the near-term outlook.
