Information on organized events

 

Beginning from February 1, 2006, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the Oryol State Technical University (OryolSTU), the OryolSTU Business and Law Institute, the “Planetary Project” Scientific Center (St. Petersburg), the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, and the Russian Academy of Social Sciences are holding an international scientific Internet-conference “Intellectual forces of mankind and harmony of world development”. The completion of the conference is not limited by a fixed date. The time of ceasing the receipt of materials will be stated additionally on the “Главная (Main)” page of the “Planetary Project” Scientific Center’s site.

 

 

1.     Planetary problems of the XXI century: forecasts and estimates.

2.     Methodology, methods and procedures of interdisciplinary (complex) planetary research.

3.     Methodology, methods and procedures of developing and implementing planetary projects and programs.

4.     Assessment of planetary resources and mechanisms of planetary property functioning.

5.     World income: methods of estimation and global distribution.

6.     Planetary rent: sources and appropriation mechanisms.

7.     Alternative ways of human civilization development.

8.     Intellectual resources of mankind and transition to the innovation type of civilization development.

9.     Criteria and indicators of harmonic development of civilization.

10. Transformation of planetary institutions of international accord and peace.

11. Global risks and forces for ensuring planetary security.

 

The site of the “Planetary Project” Scientific Center (“Planetary research” page) contains the text of the joint report “Human intellect and harmony of world development” prepared by the conference organizers (in Russian). In it, a number of proposals is presented concerning possible ways, trends and mechanisms of solving acute problems the mankind is faced with, primarily, poverty problems. In the opinion of the team of the report’s authors, implementing this complex of proposals will directly favor the harmony of world development when actively assisted by the world scientific community. On the site (“Planetary research” page) one can read an abstract of the joint report in the English language.

The authors of the report will be highly grateful if Internet-materials of the conference participants contain notes, appraisals and wishes being evidence of their not indifferent attitude towards provisions of the report and topics raised.

 

The joint report can be also discussed at the Forum of the “Planetary Project” Scientific Center.

 

 

1. Starting from March 10, 2006, Internet-materials for the conference will be placed on the site of the “Planetary Project” Scientific Center (“Planetary research” page).

2. To have materials placed, it is necessary to send the electronic text of the work formatted in Word 6.0, 7.0 for Windows etc to the address: pp@plproject.ru, econte@ostu.ru . Standard name of the file is PL2006_Author’s name_Brief name of the work.doc (e.g., PL2006_Smith_Planetary rent.doc). The text of the work must end up with requisite information about the author: surname, first name, place of work, post, home and/or office address, phone number, fax number, e-mail.

3. Materials of the participants can be presented:

- as scientific reports (30-40 thou. printed characters);

- as brief scientific accounts (6-12 thou. printed characters);

4. Scientific reports and accounts can be presented in Russian and/or English, French.

5. Requirements to the structure of the text:

Title: name of the article / surname, initials / organization, city, country.

Key words: not more than 6-8 words (language: Russian / English / French).

List of references: at the end of the article, not more than 5 titles.

Font: body size: 14 points, typeface: Times New Roman; interline space: 1.5; margins: 20x20x20x20 mm;

Footnotes: at the end, hand-written;

Figures: in the form of embedded objects in *.jpg, *.bmp formats, not more than 60x60 mm in size; formulas: with the use of M8 Equation 3.0 formula editor (standard for MS Word).

Abstract: not more than 20 lines (language: Russia / English / French).

Not allowed are automatically placed page by page / end references.

6. Author-edited scientific reports and accounts or their theses will be periodically published in collections of the conference Internet-proceedings as soon as materials are accumulated. Publication of the first collection is planned for May 2006 (tentatively).
