Mission

 

The prime objective (mission) of the “Planetary Project” Scientific Center is to assist in harmonizing social, economic, political, cultural and spiritual life of the planet Earth’s population on the whole and in individual regions, subregions, countries and territories by way of implementing complex interdisciplinary and societally significant social, economic, political, cultural, and ecological practically oriented projects. These projects are called to merge into a unified planetary project of qualitative improvement of people’s joint life in their social and natural environment.

 

To achieve the prime objective, the Scientific Center is engaging in activities along the following lines:

 

- conducting and organizing fundamental, search and applied studies of a complex and interdisciplinary nature. The complex and interdisciplinary character manifests itself in that carrying them out involves specialists of modern science branches such as economics, sociology, politology, culturology, philosophy, history, jurisprudence, social and political psychology, ecology;

- assisting in organized introduction of practical projects and programs developed on the basis of complex and interdisciplinary studies into real life of the Earth’s population;

- participating in the expert examination of programs and projects proposed by other scientific organizations and connected with attaining the prime objective of the Center’s activities;

- preparing forecasts of social, political, cultural, and ecological development;

- organizing and lending support to virtual and real communities of scientists, politicians, and ordinary citizens from different countries who are interested in developing and promoting the Center’s projects. The Center considers such communities a most important source for improving the quality of studies and developments carried out by it;

- assisting in the organization and holding of virtual and real scientific and educational conferences, workshops, symposiums and forums for wide propagation, discussion and propaganda of the results of its research and other activities;

- organizing, within its competence, the development of and support to information databases, electronic libraries, portals and sites by providing access to them on the planetary scale via modern systems of telecommunication and information networks;

- furthering wide dissemination of the results of its work by means of own publishing activities and placing relevant publications in scientific editions and  mass media;

- forming a fund for financing studies aimed to develop solutions to social, economic, political, cultural, and ecological problems of general significance for the whole mankind;

- participating in regional, all-Russian, international projects and programs connected with realization of the prime objective of the Center’s activities;

- conducting other types of activity that help achieve the Center’s prime objective.

 

The “Planetary Project” Scientific Center was registered as an autonomous noncommercial organization on October 19, 2005, and included by the Interdistrict Inspectorate of the Federal Tax Service No. 15 for St. Petersburg into the unified state register of legal entities under number 1057812667538.
